White Rose Ventures invests $500K in York pretzel company

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – What started as a small midstate business is about to get a lot bigger.

“The Pretzel Company” once sold soft pretzels in York only. During the pandemic, it began shipping pretzels to people all over the country.

Now, a local fund called “White Rose Ventures” just invested a quarter of a million dollars in the company so it can expand even further.

Philip Given, co-founder of The Pretzel Company said, “We’re right in the heart of pretzel country, but we get to ship these pretzels to Wisconsin and Washington and California, where people don’t have access to soft pretzels that are awesome and delicious.”

The latest investment will help the company begin selling these pretzels wholesale to retailers in addition to continuing to ship directly to individuals.
