General Information

Our pretzels are made in historic Downtown York, Pennsylvania. We've been making pretzels out of our bakery, York City Pretzel Company, since 2014.

We weren't designed in a corporate board room, we're the real deal. We come from Central Pennsylvania, pretzel country, where we've been making great pretzels since 2014. Over 80% of all pretzels produced are made within an hour drive of our bakery. Our pretzels have been enjoyed up and down the Mid-Atlantic and are considered by many to be the best pretzels ever.

You caught us. We aren't robots. Our products are handmade and, as we like to say, "perfectly imperfect." Our products are hand twisted by humans, not machines. Believe it or not, most pretzels that you buy at a grocery store or online are made with million dollar machinery. We prefer to do things the "hard way," with good old fashioned people power.

Shipping

All orders shipped to AZ, CA, ID, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA will be shipped Monday, Tuesday, and in some cases Wednesday. These orders are shipped using UPS 3-Day Select or 2nd Day Air.

All orders shipped to the rest of the continental United States are shipped Monday-Friday. Most orders ship within 36 hours of being placed, but never more than 6 days from ordering depending on the weather, carrier notices, and production schedule.

Please refer to the tracking information that was sent to you. In many cases our tracking emails come 24-48 hours before your package is actually shipped. FedEx and UPS may generate "estimated" delivery dates prior to them receiving the pretzels. Please ignore those dates. When FedEx or UPS actually pick up your package they will generate an accurate delivery date.

We don't control FedEx or UPS and we don't know what they did with your box. Please call them before emailing us and see if they can help you out. Once they take the package from us, the delivery is in their hands.

If they can't help you or they can't locate the package, please email us. We'll take care of you. 

Our goal is to get pretzels out the door as quickly as possible. Some orders are shipped within hours of being placed, some take 3-4 days due to production schedules. We make every effort to get our pretzels into people's hands as quickly as possible.

If you would like your pretzels to ship on a certain date, please contact us using the contact form on the website. Please note these are just requests, not guarantees. 

Product and Handling

Nope. Never. Our pretzels are baked and shipped the same day to you. We absolutely recommend that you freeze your pretzels into individual bags within 24 hours of their arrival.

For best results, eat or freeze pretzels within 24 hours of receiving them. They’re best kept at room temperature until heating.

We recommend that you freeze whatever pretzels you're not going to eat the day that they arrive. Just freeze them into individual bags and they will be good whenever you're ready to eat them!

We have sold hundreds of thousands of pretzels to dozens of breweries and restaurants over the last 5 years. This is how they do it and this is how we heat pretzels up in our kitchens, too.

1) Heat oven or toaster oven to 350*F

2) Using your fingers or a spray bottle, lightly moisten pretzel with water until surface glistens

3) Apply salt (about 1 tsp of salt per pretzel; or more. or less. we won’t judge.)

4) Place pretzels on cookie sheet or directly on rack

5) Heat pretzels 3-4 minutes or until hot and crispy

We have thousands and thousands of customers that are highly satisfied and order from us multiple times a year. 

For the rare customer that didn't like our pretzels or had shipping issues we still make sure that they leave satisfied because we care about our customers. We will refund your order or ship you new pretzels - whatever it takes to make things right. 


The ones that aren't satisfied are probably the ones that started the interaction by being a jerk. Don't be a jerk and we won't be jerks.

Mistakes happen. We aren't perfect and we don't control FedEx or UPS and their shipping times.
We'll do everything we can to make our customers happy. As long as they're nice to us.
